Senior Pastor 

Rev. Mike Moody

Mike came to First Baptist Church in May 1999. Prior to his call to First Baptist, he was the pastor of several other churches in the upstate of South Carolina. He is a graduate of North Greenville College, Carson-Newman College (Jefferson City, Tennessee) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth, Texas). Mike served from 1970-74 in the U.S. Navy. Our pastor was born is in Greenville, S.C. Mike and his wife, Billie, have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and two grandsons.

Associate Pastor Youth / Singles

Jamie Williams

Jamie was born in Sumter SC.  He graduated from Thomas Sumter Academy before moving on to get degrees from North Greenville University and Winthrop University.  He finished his studies at Southeastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.

He spent 10 years serving with FBC Moncks Corner as their Youth Pastor and 4 years serving as Pastor to FBC Hampton. Jamie now serves right here in Honea Path ministering to the youth and singles. He is married to Heather Brown Williams, a Charleston Southern Graduate.  They have two daughters, Joy and Ann Louise.

Melanie Hahn

Melanie was born in Phoenix, AZ. She received her education degree from Warner Southern Christian University and received her graduate degree from the University of South Carolina.  

She spent 15 years as the Media Specialist at Honea Path Elementary School.  Her love for technology and student achievement led her to Robert Anderson Middle School where she is the Digital Integration Specialist.  She is married to the love of her life, Jon Hahn. They have 2 sons, Jonathan and Logan; Daughters-in-Law, Marci and Jenna; and 2 beautiful granddaughters, Ava and Mattison.

Administrative Assistant 

Allyson Walker

Allyson was born and raised in Honea Path and grew up in First Baptist Church.  She accepted Christ and was baptized when she was 9 years old.  She joined the staff in her current position in December 2001. Her job responsibilities include clerical support and maintaining financial and membership records. She is a member of the Adult Choir. Her greatest joys are her husband, John, and their son, Isaac.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and photography.

Receptionist

Michael Ashley

Michael joined our staff in February 2017.  She is the wife of Bryan, and mother of Billy Joe, Randi, and Ella.  She is a student at Andersonville Theological Seminary obtaining a degree in Christian counseling.  She and Bryan are co-leaders of our Celebrate Recovery group.  She enjoys riding motorcycles, disc golf, and praise and worship.

Organist  Joanne Anderson

Joanne grew up in Honea Path First Baptist Church and was active in the music program. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bannister and widow of the late Gene Anderson.  When the pipe organ was purchased, she was fortunate to have been given organ lessons along with two adults and one other teenager.

She is currently a member of the Adult Worship Choir and teaches in a ladies Sunday School Class.

Pianist  Linda Setterlind

Linda has a Music Degree in Piano from the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida. She has 40 plus years experience as church pianist and has taught piano for over 40 years. Linda was married to the late Brown Setterlind.

They have two sons, Carl, who is Minister of Music and Worship at Biltmore Baptist Church, Asheville, NC and John, who is Minister of Music and Worship at Woodland Hills Baptist Church, Weaverville, NC. The Setterlind's have eight grandchildren.

Dietician  Betty Mitchell

"Mrs. Betty" is a pillar of HPFBC.  She has loved and served her church family for many years!  Her Wednesday night suppers are legendary.  Her kindness and Christlikeness has touched endless lives within, as well as outside, the walls of HPFBC.  You have not lived until you have tried her chicken and dumplings, followed by her chocolate delight dessert!
